The Rebels and PHC need your help to make our team successful in 2022-23! Billet families are the lifeblood of junior hockey organizations and our teams at Hollydell are no different. Our players come from all across the world and greatly benefit from the generosity of people like you allowing them to stay in your home during the season.
What is a Billet Family?
Billet Families provide our players a place to live and a family environment outside of the rink. Billets welcome a player into their family for the entirety of the hockey season. Players and billet families have a great history of lifelong relationships and players can be great role models for young members of the household! Players are very appreciative of the opportunity to live in somebody else’s home as they pursue their hockey dreams. As an example, our NAHL head coach, Justin Hale, was the best man at his billet brother’s wedding! Justin lived with his family for two seasons and they remain close friends to this day. Matt Gaudreau, our NAHL assistant coach and a South Jersey native, had a tremendous experience with his family too. His billet dad was actually the officiant at his wedding and they remain in close contact.
What is required of a Billet Family?
A billet family must provide a player with their own bedroom and daily meals. Billet families receive a monthly stipend of $550 to supplement the costs of hosting a player.
What will the player provide?
Players provide their own transportation to and from the arena. Players follow a strict set of rules regarding their respect of your family and your home.
