PHC 10U Squirt Minor Wins AYHL Championship

The Philadelphia Hockey Club’s Squirt Minor (2014 birth year) won the Atlantic Youth Hockey League’s (AYHL) Championship defeating the Long Island Royals 3 – 2 in overtime.

Having finished the regular season in second place posting a 22-5-0-1 record for 45 points, PHC opened with a 6 – 5 loss to the Royals.

They then won 6 – 3 over the North Jersey Avalanche in the second game, and then PHC defeated the Philadelphia Little Flyers 4 – 3 to set up the rematch with the Royals in the finals.

Tristian Bourdan scored the game winner at 7:25 into the extra period to cap off the victory celebration. It was Bourdan’s second goal of the contest. Rocco Cacia also lit the lamp.

Netminder Maxx Golden stopped 16 of 18 shots. Golden was named the 10U Minor Great American Goalie for the tournament.
