The Philadelphia Hockey Club’s 15U team went undefeated at the Beast River Rats Showcase in Massachusetts which concluded yesterday posting a 4 – 0 record against very tough competition.
In their first game, the 15U’s won 6 – 2 over the 95 Giants and then beat the Boston Hockey Academy 4 – 2 in their second game. They then defeated the Springfield Thunderbirds 6 – 1 in their third game of the Showcase, and wrapped it up with a 3 – 1 victory over the West Chester Express. In all, they limited their competition to six goals in four games posting a 1.50 goals against average.
"I am very proud of how our team performed this weekend” stated 15U head coach Matt Mood. “Our group is happy with the foundation they laid at the Beast Event, but are not satisfied. We know we have a lot more work to do if we want to achieve the greatness we believe lies within our locker room. The team is eager to get our league play underway and continue to build on their early success” concluded Mood.
