The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) has announced the T1ER League Peak Performers from the T1ER East NAHL Experience Weekend in New Jersey. Players were chosen based on their performances in the 18U and 16U regular season games that took place from December 6th to 8th at the Hollydell Ice Arena, and Philadelphia Hockey Club 18U forward Ethan Coots and defenseman Kalib Capecci were announced.
Forward: Ethan Coots, Philadelphia Hockey Club
Second-year T1ER forward Ethan Coots continues to be a huge contributor to Philadelphia Hockey Club’s offense, having a great showing at the Sewell event. The Harrisburg, PA native tallied an impressive 10 points in four games and began the weekend with a four point contest against the West Chester Wolves. Coots scored the game tying goal during his team’s eventual 5-3 victory and added on by dishing out three assists. He would go on to tally an assist during the next two games and ended the event with yet another four point game. During the tilt against the Maine Nordiques, Coots had an identical showing as he did against West Chester, scoring the game tying tally in addition to recording three helpers.
Defense: Kalib Capecci, Philadelphia Hockey Club
Switching over to PHC’s blueline, 6’0” defender Kalib Capecci had a standout showing as he was able to register at least one point per game throughout the course of the weekend. In total, the Sewell, NJ native tallied eight points in four games, now sitting just one point shy of his 2023-24 season total. Capecci found the back of the net once in each of the first three games, including a power play tally against West Chester during their first game. He would go on to have his best game to date against the Maine Nordiques on Sunday as the defender posted a four-points, including a hat trick and one assist. Of his three goals against Maine, two were scored shorthanded while the other was scored on the man advantage, his final tally being the eventual game winner.
