PHC 2015 Team wins 2025 AYHL Championship

The Philadelphia Hockey Club’s 10U Minor (2015) team defeated the North Jersey Avalanche to win the 2025 Atlantic Youth Hockey League’s (AYHL) championship.

In their first game, they defeated the Valley Forge Minutemen 6 – 2. Brock Danehower had a pair of goals while Johnny Gerbavac, Henry Vince, Logan Punturiero and Brady Carr also lit the lamp. Ellie Shaw stopped 4 of 6 shots.

Their second game they defeated the Avalanche 5 – 3 with Declan Spittal and Max Roach each scoring a pair of goals and Brady Carr also hitting the back of the net. Colton Williams stopped 13 of 16 shots.

In their third and final game of round robin play, Spittal scored with 29 seconds remaining in overtime to give PHC a 4 – 3 win over the Philadelphia Little Flyers and send the 2015’s into the championship game. Danehower, Gerbavac and Carr scored in regulation. Shaw turned aside 15 of 18 shots.

In their rematch with the Avalanche in the finals, PHC won 7 – 3 to capture the championship.  Punturiero and Spittal each had a pair of goals while Gerbavac, Roach, and Danehower lit the lamp. Williams stopped 15 of 18 shots.
