What is the EHL?

The Philadelphia Hockey Club is a proud member of the Eastern Hockey League (EHL).  The EHL is a Tier III junior hockey league that is fully committed to developing the skills hockey players need to be prepared for the next stage in their career. The league is focused on maximizing your potential in the time you spend with us. When leaving the EHL, players will be better prepared for the next step.

Through individualized coaching, premium training programs, and a more dedicated experience, our priority is to provide the student athlete with the necessary tools to reach their goals on and off the ice.

ADAM BARTHOLOMAY - EHL HEAD COACH AND GENERAL MANAGER

Adam Bartholomay

Adam Bartholomay is the Head Coach and General Manager of Philadelphia Hockey Club's EHL Team.  Adam possesses strong morals and an impressive work ethic, an ability to recruit and promote players, an in-depth knowledge of the game and an impressive playing history. 

Before joining the Philadelphia Hockey Club, Adam built and ran the midget program for the Nashville Jr. Predators while also coaching the U18 and U15 teams.  He was responsible for all aspects of the program, including player procurement.  Prior to Nashville, Adam spent 4 years coaching in Utah.  He served as the Hockey Director for the West Coast Renegades, where he was head coach for the U16 and U15 Tier 1 teams. 

Adam had an impressive playing career.  He spent three years in the USHL with the Topeka Scarecrows and the Lincoln Stars, where he earned a scholarship to play at the University of Nebraska Omaha.  After three years, he was invited to the L.A. Kings Free Agent/Rookie camp and he decided to pursue professional hockey.  Over six professional seasons, he had stops in the IHL, ECHL, CHL and SPHL before injuries led to his retirement.

JOE MATISKIEL - EHL ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH

Joe Matiskiel

Joe's resume in hockey spans well over a decade and includes coaching and administrative experience at some of the games highest levels.  He is driven to help each athlete reach their full potential & develop their abilities through discipline, focus and repetition with an emphasis on creating a strong culture built on character and work ethic.  He has helped place over 150 athletes into the NCAA and pro hockey.  In his 1st season as assistant coach he quickly proved to be an important addition to the staff, earning the title of Associate Head Coach.  Under the direction of himself and Head Coach Adam Bartholomay the EHL team broke multiple records and advanced farther in the EHL playoffs than any team in franchise history.
 

Prior to joining Philadelphia Hockey Club Joe has coached U15 and U16 at the tier 1 level, and held the position of interim Head Coach and GM of the Protec Ducks (EHL).  Most notably was his time on the Philadelphia Revolution EHL staff whose teams set multiple league records including most wins in a season, most points in a season and developed the league MVP twice in a three year span.
