Philadelphia Hockey Club announces Junior Coaches for 2020-2021

The Philadelphia Hockey Club is proud to announce that Rylan Ferster (Kelowna, BC) is joining PHC as Head Coach of its Tier 2, tuition free NCDC team.  Adam Bartholomay (Agoura Hills, CA) will continue in his role as the GM/Head Coach for the Premier team while also serving as the Associate Coach for the NCDC club.

“As we continue to improve and expand our facility, and establish the Philadelphia Hockey Club as a premier destination, we have put ourselves in a position to hire a coach with Rylan’s pedigree.  This is validation of our success to date, and allows for more success in the future,” said Jim Mackey, owner of Hollydell Ice Arena and the Philadelphia Hockey Club.    “We are very excited to have two coaches of this caliber leading our junior program here at PHC” stated GM Troy Mick.  “We now have an experienced, talented and extremely well connected staff that are looking forward to developing our young men, on and off the ice, with a mandate of fulfilling their educational and hockey goals.”

RYLAN FERSTER
The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native has spent the past twenty years coaching in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL).  Ferster boasts an impressive coaching record, including guiding the West Kelowna Warriors to the club’s first Interior Division Championship, BCHL Fred Page Cup, Western Canada Cup and RBC Cup National Championship in 2016.  In addition to his many successes in the Junior ‘A’ ranks, Ferster has  also been involved with Team Canada West at the World Junior ‘A’ Challenge as a coach and GM. The veteran coach has developed many highly successful players, including Jamie and Jordie Benn, Tyler Bozak and Travis Zajac to name a few. He has also sent countless players to the NCAA ranks.

ADAM BARTHOLOMAY
The Agoura Hills native has spent the last 2 seasons with the PHC-Premier team and is looking forward to building on his successes to date. Starting the program 2 years ago from scratch, he progressed from a 14-win season in year one to a 27-win season in year two.  Bartholomay’s team won the first ever playoff round in PHC-Premier history last season. The NCAA Alumnus of Omaha-Nebraska is looking forward to helping the NCDC team and moving more players on to the NCAA level.
