The Philadelphia Hockey Club Belles won the 19U Atlantic Girls Hockey Federation (AGHF) platinum championship going undefeated (4 – 0) in their quest for the crown.
Claire Meehan led all Belle scorers with nine total points (8 goals and 1 assist) in four games played. Netminder Brynn Riches recorded two shutouts stopping 30 shots she faced while goalie partner Adison Hinch recorded a 1.18 goals against average and .928 save percentage in two games.
The Belles opened the tournament with a 5 – 0 win over the New Jersey Bandits Morris. Lauren Rennie and Meehan had a pair of goals and Sienna Stone also hit the back of the net.
In game two, the Belles defeated the New Jersey Rockets Blue 3 – 1. Isabella Stylianou lit the lamp and Meehan had a pair of goals.
In the semi-finals, the Belles blanked the Tri City Eagles Gold 4 – 0. Meehan scored a hat trick while Stone scored her second goal of the tournament.
The Belles would faceoff again against the New Jersey Rockets Blue in the championship game. The Belle won 3 – 1 with a balanced attack with Julianna Lennon, Rennie, and Meehan scored.
